As for Lake View, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 11.5 runs this season.
For Lake View's part, Jodie Ongbueco was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. That's the most strikeouts Ongbueco has posted since back in March of 2025. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with two runs and two RBI.
In other batting news, Sofia Olayo was excellent, going 3-for-5 with three stolen bases and one run. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Anali Soto was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases.
