AAA Patriot recap Oct. 3, 2012
West Springfield and Woodson played the most hotly contested game in AAA Patriot this week, with West Springfield eventually emerging with a 14-10 victory.
T.C. Williams's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Alec Grosser threw for 153 yards and Landon Moss had 119 yards receiving. On the ground Malik Carney chipped in 165 yards. Julius Cooper helped T.C. Williams' passing attack out by catching two balls for 26 yards.
The Titans' Grosser and Moss have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Grosser has thrown for 874 yards this season, while Moss, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 32 catches for 423 yards. Demornay Pierson-El from West Potomac leads the league in rushing with 485 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Lee takes on the Wolverines. The Lancers are in third place, while West Potomac is in second place.
Jeremiah Davis's team led AAA Patriot in scoring this week after putting up 54 points on Annandale.
