The Talawanda Brave will venture away from home to challenge the Seton Saints at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Talawanda will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Talawanda's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They put the hurt on Preble Shawnee with a sharp 13-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Brave, who have now won 11 contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
Allie McMickle made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Bella Cobb was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Audrey Hilbert was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two RBI.
Talawanda kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 13 hits in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 12 runs the game before, Seton was a bit more limited in their matchup on Monday. They fell 7-2 to Ursuline Academy.
Seton saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Allie MacPherson, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.
Talawanda's record now sits at 13-3. As for Seton, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-13.
Seton's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Talawanda has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .453. It's a different story for Seton, though, as they've only averaged .361. Will they be able to contain Talawanda's hitters?
Everything went Talawanda's way against Seton in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Talawanda made off with a 10-1 victory. Do the Brave have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Saints turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
