The Fullerton Indians fought the good fight in their overtime match against the Troy Warriors on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 67-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Fullerton in their matchups with Troy: they've now lost five in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Fullerton lost, one person who can't be blamed is Saint Martinez. Despite the final result, he scored 16 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Edwards, who scored ten points.
Fullerton has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season. As for Troy, their victory bumped their record up to 18-8.
Fullerton will head out on the road to take on Sunny Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Sunny Hills focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Monday. As for Troy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against La Habra at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. La Habra will be looking to extend their current 11-game winning streak.
