The Calvin Christian Crusaders can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They strolled past Orange Glen with points to spare, taking the game 55-36. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Calvin Christian considering their 25-point performance the match before.
Isaac Lapka was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. He also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Caleb Lapka, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Calvin Christian's victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-10. As for Orange Glen, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-24.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Calvin Christian will take on the Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Orange Glen, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Golden Eagles at 2:00 p.m. on February 3rd.
