After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three matches, Mayflower finally came back down to earth on Thursday. They fell just short of the Glen Rose Beavers by a score of 3-2. The Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Mayflower's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Glen Rose, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-6.

Looking ahead, Mayflower will welcome Guy-Perkins at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Glen Rose, they will square off against Arkansas Christian Academy on Saturday.
