The Valley View Blazers waltzed into Friday's contest with eight straight wins but they left with nine. They took down Batesville 28-10. Given Valley View's advantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas football rankings (they are ranked 17th, while Batesville is ranked 93rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Anthony Feliz was the offensive standout of the contest as he rushed for 104 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries. Carson Turley also helped with two touchdowns in total.
Valley View pushed their record up to 10-1 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.4 points per game. As for Batesville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.
Valley View will look to defend their home field on Friday against Maumelle at 7:00 p.m. Maumelle will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. Batesville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
