The Pierce City Eagles were the 58-33 winner over the Bronaugh Wildcats when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Pierce City fell 58-50 to Bronaugh on Tuesday. Pierce City has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Leading Bronaugh to victory were Tucker Duncan and Strauss Banes. Duncan scored 22 points along with four steals, while Banes scored 30 points along with nine rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Banes has scored at least a third of Bronaugh's points.
Pierce City has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Bronaugh, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-6.
Pierce City will be playing at home against Miller at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bronaugh will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Sheldon at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd.
