Volleyball Recap: Crystal Lake South Snags Third Victory in Last Four Games

Crystal Lake South lost to Lake Park back in October of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Gators came out on top against the Lancers by a score of 2-0.

Several Lancers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Deven Townsend, who had 11 digs. Another player making a difference was Evelyn Voytek, who had nine assists and eight digs.

Crystal Lake South has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-7 record this season. As for Lake Park, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season.

Coincidentally, Crystal Lake South and Lake Park will both be playing Palatine the next time they take the court. The Lancers will head out to face the Pirates at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Gators will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
