The DeForest Norskies will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the La Crosse Central Riverhawks at 7:00 p.m. on October 20th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Wisconsin (DeForest is ranked 90th, while La Crosse Central is ranked 80th).
Last Friday, DeForest earned a 21-14 win over Sauk Prairie.
DeForest's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaylen Carter, who rushed for 109 yards and a touchdown. Tucker Grundahl did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 98 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, La Crosse Central had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They came out on top against La Crosse Logan by a score of 20-10.
Their wins bumped DeForest to 5-4 and La Crosse Central to 8-1.
