The Lewiston Tigers won the last time they faced the Cedar Bluffs Wildcats, and things went their way on Friday too. Lewiston claimed a resounding 50-22 win over Cedar Bluffs on the road. Winning is a bit easier when you outrebound your opponent 14 to 7 on the offensive boards, as Lewiston did.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lewiston to victory, but perhaps none more so than Everett Bohling, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Bohling has scored at least 25% of Lewiston's points. Tristen Ray was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Despite the loss, Cedar Bluffs still got an impressive performance from Moritz Raiss, who scored five points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Raiss has scored all season.
Lewiston's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-6. As for Cedar Bluffs, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.
Lewiston will head out on the road to face off against Omaha Christian Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nebraska (Omaha Christian Academy is ranked 236th, while Lewiston is ranked 218th). As for Cedar Bluffs, they will be playing at home against Brownell Talbot on Saturday. Brownell Talbot has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 5.
