The Dallas HSAA Angels can finally bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They secured a 61-57 W over Coram Deo Academy. Dallas HSAA's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Several Lions players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Selah Johnson, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds. Johnson scored a full 28.1% of Coram Deo Academy's points, the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Patterson, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds.
Dallas HSAA's win bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Coram Deo Academy, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-8.
Dallas HSAA does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Coram Deo Academy will head out on the road to face off against Cristo Rey Dallas College Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cristo Rey Dallas College Prep will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1358th, while Coram Deo Academy is ranked 464th).
