Cumberland is 9-1 against Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. Cumberland took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Neoga as they made off with a 10-3 win. Considering the Pirates have won four games by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last matchup, Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] made sure to put some runs up on the board against Cerro Gordo/Bement on Thursday. The Titans put the hurt on the Broncos with a sharp 15-2 victory.
Garrett Pollock made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. He has become a key player for Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland]: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 1-8 otherwise.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kahle Lee, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one double.
