If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for De La Salle. On Friday they take on Haynes Academy at At muss bertolino playground at 7:00 PM. De La Salle don't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
After having lost a blowout in their matchup three weeks ago against Edna Karr, De La Salle were happy to find some success last Friday. De La Salle had enough points to win and then some against Riverside Academy, taking their matchup 45-28. The high-flying offensive effort was a definite turnaround from De La Salle's flat performance the matchup before.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 50 points the game before, Haynes Academy faltered in their match last Friday. They suffered a grim 7-37 defeat to Pearl River. Haynes Academy were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-30.
De La Salle simply couldn't be stopped the last time the two teams met, as they easily beat Haynes Academy 64-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for De La Salle since the team won't have home-field advantage. Watch the game and check back on MaxPreps to see if the change in venue makes a difference.
