Hanover-Horton gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They walked away with an 8-5 win over the Quincy Orioles. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Comets also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Hanover-Horton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .562. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Quincy only posted an OBP of .343.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hanover-Horton will take on Northwest at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Quincy, they will head out to square off against Hillsdale at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
