Merrill had a rough outing against Lakeland last Friday, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. Merrill were able to grind out a solid win over Rhinelander on Saturday, winning 21-7. That's another feather in the cap for Merrill, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
The victory bumped Merrill's record up to 2-5. The loss dropped Rhinelander's record to 1-6.
Next week Merrill take on Medford at 7:00 PM. Rhinelander will take on Ashland at home at 7:00 PM. Rhinelander stagger into the match hobbled by six consecutive losses while Ashland skip in buoyed by six consecutive wins.
