The Hartsville Red Foxes fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They blew past West Florence, posting a 55-19 win at home. The result was nothing new for Hartsville, who have now won five contests by 29 points or more so far this season.
Hakeem Watters continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 172 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries. Watters was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 57 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of McKendrie Douglas, who rushed for ten yards and two touchdowns.
Hartsville's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for West Florence, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hartsville will take on Wilson at 7:30 p.m. on October 27th. Wilson will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 101st, while Hartsville is ranked 21st). As for West Florence, they will look to defend their home field on October 27th against South Florence at 7:30 p.m. South Florence will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
