Basketball Recap: Amarian Leggett's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Blackford over Greenwood Christian Academy

On Saturday, the Blackford Bruins came up short against the Greenwood Christian Academy Cougars and fell 51-43. The match marked the Bruins' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Blackford's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Amarian Leggett, who went 7 of 11 on his way to 20 points. With that strong performance, Leggett is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Gage Baker, who posted 12 points along with six boards and three steals.

Even though they lost, Blackford smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Blackford has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season.
