Louisa County's 23-4 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They took a 50-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of Chancellor.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Taylor Yeatts, who scored 17 points along with 3 steals. Yeatts is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Amara Comfort, who scored 8 points.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 71-26, which was the final score in Fluvanna County's tilt against Turner Ashby on Monday.
Despite the loss, Fluvanna County saw an underclassman step up: Sienna Brennan scored 10 points.
Louisa County now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Fluvanna County, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Louisa County have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 41 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Fluvanna County struggles in that department as they've been averaging 30 per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
