Krum is 0-5 against Rider since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Krum Bobcats will look to defend their home court against the Rider Raiders at 7:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Krum has 12 straight victories, Rider has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Krum has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 22 points or more this season. They were the clear victor by a 59-36 margin over Ranchview. Given Krum's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 51st, while Ranchview is ranked 859th), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Rider pushed their score all the way to 55 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 61-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Greenwood.
Rider's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Kenji Johnson, who scored 7 points, and Jared Cohee who scored 6 points.
Krum's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points per game. As for Rider, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.
Krum came up short against Rider when the teams last played back in December of 2022, falling 51-42. Will Krum have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get analysis of the match and other basketball content.
