The Shenandoah Zeps were the 55-48 winner over the Marietta Tigers when they last played one another back in January of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The matchup between Shenandoah and the Tigers wasn't particularly close, with the Zeps falling 54-37. While losing is never fun, Shenandoah can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 415th, while the Tigers are ranked 52nd).
Shenandoah lost on Friday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Emily Moore, who scored ten points along with three steals. Moore has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kadence Noll, who scored 12 points.
Shenandoah's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Marietta, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shenandoah will take on the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Buckeye Local will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Marietta, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lancers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
