The Carver College and Career Academy Wolverines will head out on the road to challenge the King & Queen Central Royal Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Carver College and Career Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Carver College and Career Academy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 33-28 to the Blue Devils. Carver College and Career Academy has not had much luck with the Blue Devils recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Carver College and Career Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Ianaisia Washington, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 18 rebounds, and AJ Sykes who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten steals. Washington is crushing the block category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Venus Jenkins, who scored no points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, King & Queen Central scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 44-24 margin over Northampton. The win was some much needed relief for King & Queen Central as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Carver College and Career Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for King & Queen Central, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Carver College and Career Academy took a serious blow against the Royal Tigers in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, falling 70-32. Can Carver College and Career Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
