Softball Recap: Temple Christian Snags Seventh Victory in Last Eight Games

Temple Christian was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Ridgeview Christian on Monday. Temple Christian was the clear victor by a 15-3 margin over Ridgeview Christian. Temple Christian might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Reagan Hensley was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Addison Camden and Sadie Forster did most of the damage at the plate: Camden got on base in three of her five plate appearances with three runs and one RBI, while Forster went 2-for-4 with three runs and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Bella Cooper, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Temple Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.9 runs over those games. As for Ridgeview Christian, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Temple Christian will host Fuqua at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ridgeview Christian, they will welcome Christian Heritage Academy at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Crusaders will need to watch out since the Knights have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
