Soccer Recap: Naples Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

Naples won the last time they faced Cape Coral and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Naples Golden Eagles never let the Cape Coral Seahawks onto the board and left with a 1-0 win. Given the Golden Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while the Seahawks are ranked 267th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Naples' one-goal win came courtesy of Brooklyn Solomon, which was the first she's scored this season.

Naples' victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those four matchups. As for Cape Coral, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5-1.

Naples will take on North Fort Myers in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on December 20th. As for Cape Coral, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 4-3 win against Ida Baker on the 13th.
