Seffner Christian will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Zephyrhills Christian Academy extended their winning streak to three on Thursday. The Warriors' pitcher stepped up to hand Central Florida Christian Academy a 17-0 shutout. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by seven runs or more this season.

Sergio Garcia was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out nine over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with five RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Tatum Dulaski was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. He has become a key player for Zephyrhills Christian Academy: the team is 7-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 2-5 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Elijah Lara, who scored three runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
Zephyrhills Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .719. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Seffner Christian suffered their closest defeat since April 12, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of Cambridge Christian by a score of 3-1. The Crusaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Seffner Christian saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kris Colondres, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
Zephyrhills Christian Academy's record now sits at 9-6. As for Seffner Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 11-10.
Monday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Zephyrhills Christian Academy hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .349. However, it's not like Seffner Christian struggles in that department as they've averaged .329. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Zephyrhills Christian Academy might still be hurting after the 16-1 defeat they got from Seffner Christian in their previous meeting back in March of 2022. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
