The Lab University Prep Lab Rats had to endure an eight-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They claimed a resounding 76-43 victory over Liberty Preparatory Christian on the road. Lab University Prep's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Lab University Prep's win on Tuesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Makayla Minshall, who scored 31 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Minshall has scored all season. Sophie Dumler was another key contributor, scoring 20 points.
Despite the defeat, Liberty Preparatory Christian saw an underclassman step up: Leia Garrett scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and six blocks. Garrett hasn't dropped below two blocks for eight straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jenna Hessels, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 11 rebounds.
Lab University Prep's win bumped their record up to 3-9. As for Liberty Preparatory Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 14-6.
Lab University Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Liberty Preparatory Christian also has no future games currently scheduled.
