The Clear Creek Wildcats''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 28-13 to Clear Falls. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Clear Creek in their matchups with Clear Falls: they've now lost seven in a row.
Leading Clear Falls to victory were Landon Vessel and Dylan Proctor. Vessel rushed for 39 yards and two touchdowns, while Proctor gained 213 total yards and a touchdown. Proctor's longest reception was for an incredible 84 yards. Clear Falls also got a significant boost from Payton Greer, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 81 yards.
Clear Creek's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Clear Falls, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-4.
Clear Creek will head out on the road to face off against Dawson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Dawson will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last. As for Clear Falls, they will face off against Strake Jesuit at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Strake Jesuit will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 444th, while Clear Falls is ranked 122nd).
