The Walkerville Wildcats scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. Everything went their way against Crossroads Charter Academy as Walkerville made off with a 65-42 win. Walkerville pushed the score to 48-27 by the end of the third, a deficit Crossroads Charter Academy had little chance of recovering from.
Crossroads Charter Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Keegan Carnes, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and two steals. That was a full 38.1% of Crossroads Charter Academy's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Donny Guernsey was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with five steals.
Walkerville's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-10. As for Crossroads Charter Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-17.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Walkerville will take on Brethren at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Crossroads Charter Academy will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Cadillac Heritage Christian at 7:00 p.m. on February 12th.
