The Centennial Coyotes have not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They came out on top against Apollo by a score of 32-23 on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Centennial also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Akasha Prpich continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Centennial's points. Another player making a difference was Jolie Galbreath, who scored nine points.
Centennial's win bumped their record up to 8-15. As for Apollo, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-16.
Centennial and the Wildcats will face off at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Willow Canyon will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. Apollo does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
