The biggest upset of the week belonged to Valley, who took down 230th ranked Kittanning, 20-17.
Ford City moved up to 340 from 373 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in WPIAL AA Allegheny. The Sabers were able to make move up by besting Deer Lakes 48-13.
Ford City's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. David Lattanzio threw for 113 and one touchdown and Devan Willyard had 57 yards receiving. On the ground Willyard chipped in 202 yards. Justin Retzer helped Ford City's passing attack out by catching one ball for 56 yards.
East Allegheny's Kyle Whipple and Shawn Adair have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Whipple has thrown for 1338 yards this season, while Adair, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 24 catches for 526 yards. Freeport's Brendan Lynch leads the league in rushing yards with 886.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Burrell takes on the Lancers. The Bucs are in first place, while Deer Lakes is in seventh place.
The Vikings extended the longest winning streak in WPIAL AA Allegheny this week by beating the Wildcats, 20-17. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
