Lakeview has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Many Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Lakeview is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Tigers in Louisiana (the Gators are ranked 61st, while the Tigers are ranked 305th).
Last Tuesday, Lakeview was able to grind out a solid win over the Bulldogs, taking the game 52-39.
Meanwhile, Many's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. Their rough 68-45 loss to Winnfield might stick with them for a while. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Many in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now lost five in a row.
Lakeview is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season. As for Many, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Lakeview against the Tigers in their previous matchup back in January as the squad secured a 69-28 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lakeview since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
