The Brady Bulldogs posted their biggest victory since December 7, 2023 on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Blanco as Brady made off with a 46-26 win. Winning may never get old, but Brady sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Lola Whisenhunt was her usual excellent self, scoring 20 points along with five rebounds and four steals. She has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Justice Duque, who scored six points.
Despite the loss, Blanco had strong showings from Mina Broyles, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and five steals, and Isabella Mitchell, who scored nine points along with six steals. Broyles is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Carleigh Dotson, who scored four points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Brady's victory bumped their record up to 13-16. As for Blanco, their loss dropped their record down to 12-15.
Brady will look to defend their home court on Friday against Florence at 6:15 p.m. Florence has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 8. As for Blanco, they will head out on the road to face off against Llano at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
