Basketball Recap: Crofton Extends Winning Streak to Three

Crofton had won two straight games and Sammie Allen did her part to make it three on Saturday. The Crofton Warriors came out on top against the Guardian Angels Central Catholic Bluejays by a score of 58-48 thanks in part to Allen, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten boards. Her evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points.

Another player making a difference was Cassie Allen, who posted ten points in addition to six assists and five rebounds. That's the most boards she has posted since back in December of 2023.

Crofton's victory bumped their record up to 18-3. As for Guardian Angels Central Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 14-3.

Looking ahead, Crofton is taking a road trip to face off against Elk Point-Jefferson at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Crofton is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.9 points per game this season. As for Guardian Angels Central Catholic, they will face off against Pender at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Guardian Angels Central Catholic has won six straight at home, while Pender won six straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
