In what's become a running theme this season, the Macon County Bulldogs gave their fans yet another huge victory on Saturday. They blew past Marion County 51-26. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Macon County has posted since January 6th.
It was another big night for Morgan Cochran, who scored 22 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Towanna Cochran was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Despite the loss, Marion County saw an underclassman step up: Sage Davis scored 15 points.
Macon County is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. As for Marion County, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-12.
Macon County will be playing at home against Manchester at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Georgia (Manchester is ranked 248th, while Macon County is ranked 243rd). As for Marion County, Marion County and Chattahoochee County will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Chattahoochee County is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.
