The Prosper Eagles had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They took their contest at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 41-3 victory over Plano East. The victory was familiar territory for Prosper who now have eight in a row.
Leading Prosper to victory were Bryce Robinson and Nathan Tenbarge. Robinson rushed for 68 yards and a touchdown, while Tenbarge rushed for 15 yards and a touchdown.
Prosper has yet to lose a match at home this season, leaving them with a 10-1 record. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.2 points per game. As for Plano East, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.
Prosper will square off against Lake Highlands at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lake Highlands knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Prosper likes a good challenge. Plano East does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
