Walters might have drawn first blood against Apache on Friday, but it was Apache who got the last laugh. Walters took a 21-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of Apache. If Walters were expecting to get some payback for the 20-38 loss against Apache the last time they met, then they were left disappointed.
The defeat dropped Walters' record to 3-2. The victory bumped Apache's record up to 3-1.
Walters will be staying on the road next week, facing off against Healdton. Given that they both suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game. As for Apache, they will face off against Velma-Alma. Velma-Alma took a loss in their last contest and are no doubt out to reverse Apache's good fortune.
