The St. Joseph's Academy Angels posted their closest victory yet this season on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 59-56 victory over Evangelical Christian. The win made it back-to-back wins for St. Joseph's Academy.
Evangelical Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jadah Toombs, who scored 14 points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kellisia Grant, who scored 13 points.
St. Joseph's Academy has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Evangelical Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 13-3.
St. Joseph's Academy will face off against Charlotte at 11:45 a.m. on Monday. Charlotte will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Evangelical Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Seacrest Country Day at 7:00 p.m. Seacrest Country Day is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
