The Colleyville Heritage Panthers waltzed into their matchup on Friday with five straight wins but they left with six. They enjoyed a cozy 70-52 win over Birdville. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Colleyville Heritage also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Leading Colleyville Heritage to victory were Cash Gardner and Tristan Strength. Gardner scored 27 points along with six rebounds, while Strength scored 23 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists. It was the first time this season that Strength pulled down eight or more rebounds. Bodey Weaver was another key contributor, scoring four points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Colleyville Heritage has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 24-5 record this season. As for Birdville, their loss dropped their record down to 16-11.
Colleyville Heritage will head out on the road to take on the Raiders at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Ryan is on a five-game streak of home wins, the Panthers a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. Birdville will take on the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
