Cashton put the finishing touches on their 14th blowout victory of the season on Thursday. They blew past Brookwood, posting a 86-34 victory at home. Cashton's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Even though Hillsboro has not done well against the Cardinals recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Hillsboro escaped with a win against the Cardinals by the margin of a single free throw, 52-51. The victory was familiar territory for Hillsboro who now have four in a row.
Cashton's win bumped their record up to 18-1. As for Hillsboro, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-7.
Cashton came out on top in a nail-biter against the Tigers in their previous meeting back in January, sneaking past 68-66. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cashton since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
