Basketball Recap: Bernstein Piles Up the Points Against Robert F. Kennedy Community

A well-balanced attack led Bernstein over Robert F. Kennedy Community in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Bernstein Dragons blew the Robert F. Kennedy Community Bobcats out of the water with a 93-43 final score. The Dragons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 20 points or more this season.

Greg Griffin had a dynamite game for Bernstein, going 12 of 21 on his way to 28 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Hernandez, who went 6 for 11 on his way to 17 points.

The victory was the fifth in a row for Bernstein, bringing their record for this year to 9-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 38.2 points. As for Robert F. Kennedy Community, they now have a losing record at 4-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Bernstein and Highland will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 12:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025. One thing working in Bernstein's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Robert F. Kennedy Community, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Hollywood at 4:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025. Hollywood knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Robert F. Kennedy Community likes a good challenge.
