Chiefland is 10-0 against Cedar Key since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Chiefland Indians will head out on the road to face off against the Cedar Key Sharks at 6:00 p.m. Cedar Key took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Chiefland, who comes in off a win.
After only 24 points in their last contest, Chiefland made sure to put some points up on the board against St. John Lutheran on Tuesday. Chiefland strolled past St. John Lutheran with points to spare, taking the game 55-39.
Chiefland's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ryleigh Locke, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 10 rebounds. Laila Ingram was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with 5 steals.
Meanwhile, Cedar Key was the victim of a rough 64-43 loss at the hands of Saint Francis Catholic on Tuesday.
The victory got Chiefland back to even at 1-1. As for Cedar Key, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Chiefland strolled past Cedar Key when the teams last played back in January by a score of 61-47. Will Chiefland repeat their success, or does Cedar Key have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
