The Glenn Bobcats will head out on the road to square off against the Reagan Raiders at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Glenn is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.
Last Wednesday, things could have been worse for Glenn, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 65-47 loss to Parkland.
Despite the loss, Glenn had strong showings from Zyire Murphy, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds, and Kendrick Hines, who scored ten points along with two blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Murphy has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Noni Jones, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Reagan pushed their score all the way to 59 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 60-59 to East Forsyth. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Wednesday (58), Reagan still had to take the loss.
Glenn's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Reagan, they dropped their record down to 10-7 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Glenn might still be hurting after the 63-40 loss they got from Reagan when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Can Glenn avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
