On Thursday St. Mary's-Colgan take on Yates Center . St. Mary's-Colgan are the favorites in this one -- although they were the favorites in their last matchup, too, so the odds might count for a little less.
It was close but no cigar for St. Mary's-Colgan as they fell 20-22 to Abilene last Friday. St. Mary's-Colgan got a solid performance out of senior Matthew Lomshek, who rushed for 151 yards and 1 touchdown; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the victory.
Meanwhile, Yates Center were close but not close enough as they fell 27-30 to Bluestem.
Having both suffered close losses, both of these teams will no doubt be fighting for every inch to win this one. We'll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach.
