Anthony Brooks and Zack Schott provided fans with a highlight when they connected against East Union. The connection was good for 67 yards, the longest such play in Trans Valley this season.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Ripon beat Lathrop 43-0,. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
Modesto Christian's dynamic duo of Brooks and Schott proved tough for the Lancers to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Brooks threw for 113 yards and Schott had 67 yards receiving.
The Crusaders' dynamic duo of Brooks and Schott proved to be unstoppable against East Union, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Schott was the best receiver in the league this week as Modesto Christian defeated Willie Herrera's team.
Brooks put up the best numbers through the air as Steve Gleason's team bested the Lancers.
Frankie Bavaro was the most successful running back in Trans Valley this week. He ran for 166 yards on 36 carries as Escalon beat East Union. Teammate Christian May added to the ground attack by rushing for 16 yards.
5-foot-10 quarterback Tanner Pruett of Orestimba is the league leader in passing yards this season with 575. He has also thrown 3 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Tyler Robinson. The Hilmar star has 20 catches for 251 yards.
Fans will be thrilled by an exciting game in the secondary when Hilmar's Robinson goes up against Modesto Christian's Brooks.
The Cougars are in sixth place, while Ripon is in first place.
The Crusaders took down the Lancers 45-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Brooks ran for 140 yards in the win.
