After five games on the road, Beardstown is heading back home. They will take on the Hamilton Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Beardstown has not done well against the Mustangs recently (they were 0-8 in their previous eight matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Beardstown came out on top in a nail-biter against the Mustangs and snuck past 46-43.
Meanwhile, Hamilton had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.3 points), and they went ahead and made it nine on Thursday. They secured a 72-66 W over Biggsville West Central. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Beardstown's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-16. As for Hamilton, they pushed their record up to 20-4 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.
