Baseball Recap: Dunedin Victorious

Dunedin won the last time they faced St. Petersburg and things went their way on Friday too. The Dunedin Falcons walked away with an 8-4 win over the St. Petersburg Green Devils.

Logan McLemore looked comfortable as he pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

At the plate, Madden James was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while going 4-for-4. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in hits. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Fallon, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3.

Dunedin was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as St. Petersburg only posted a batting average of .273.

Dunedin now has a winning record of 7-6. As for St. Petersburg, they dropped their record down to 3-9-1 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, Dunedin will head out to challenge Palm Harbor University at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Palm Harbor University will aim to continue their five-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last. As for St. Petersburg, they will square off against South Fayette at 1:00 p.m. on Monday.
