The Clarkston Angoras can finally bid farewell to their ten-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They breezed by Cross Keys at home to the tune of 94-42. Clarkston's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
It was another big night for Jonathan McBride, who scored 25 points along with seven assists and five steals. He hasn't dropped below 15 points for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Lawerence Reeves, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Cross Keys lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Keandre Tucker, who scored 16 points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Christian Holmes, who scored 12 points.
Clarkston's win ended a ten-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-19. As for Cross Keys, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-18 record this season.
Clarkston will head out on the road to take on Stone Mountain at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Clarkston is coming into the matchup with five straight wins on the road, meaning Stone Mountain will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory. As for Cross Keys, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against North Georgia HomeSchool at 7:00 p.m. North Georgia HomeSchool is facing Cross Keys at the right time seeing as Cross Keys is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
