Given Sandy Creek's advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked third, while Wilber-Clatonia is ranked 89th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Sandy Creek's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ethan Shaw, who scored 18 points. The matchup was Shaw's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jack Clark, who scored 16 points.

Sandy Creek's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Wilber-Clatonia, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 3-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sandy Creek will be home for the holidays to greet Doniphan-Trumbull at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Doniphan-Trumbull is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Wilber-Clatonia, they will play host again and welcome Fillmore Central, where tip off is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Fillmore Central is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
