Berryhill had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They came out on top against the Checotah Wildcats by a score of 47-37. This was payback for the Chiefs, who suffered a 47-27 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Berryhill's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ava Slagle led the charge by dropping a double-double on 13 points and 11 boards. Another player making a difference was Cai Cai Counts, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine boards.

Berryhill was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Berryhill now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Checotah, their loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Berryhill will take on Cleveland in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Checotah and Stilwell will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Checotah is facing Stilwell at the right time seeing as Stilwell is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
