Chaminade is 0-4 against Oaks Christian since March of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Chaminade Eagles will square off against the Oaks Christian Lions at 4:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Chaminade is headed out in good spirits considering the team just ended their winless streak on the road against Legacy on Saturday. Chaminade walked away with a 7-3 victory over Legacy.
Finley Suppan was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. Suppan was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, Casey Glantz was incredible, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two). Norah Pettersen also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Chaminade was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Oaks Christian took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Oak Park an 8-0 shutout. The win continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won three in a row.
Like Chaminade, Oaks Christian also got a great game from a two-way player: Trystyn Crutcher. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over seven innings pitched. Crutcher was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Savanna Campos, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Chloe Morales, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
Chaminade picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 4-5. As for Oaks Christian, they pushed their record up to 1-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.
Chaminade might still be hurting after the 10-0 defeat they got from Oaks Christian in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Can Chaminade avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
